All my plumes start to spread
And my muscles firm
Senses alert

The beast seed sprouts from the man
And though I want to be inside
The meat’s not fresh and the fruit’s not ripe

That leads me to the well to quench my thirst
The path it takes incites my health

The thrill of the hunt

An invisible hand that guides my quest
But if I was to bite the hand that feeds
My health would fall to the needs of the beast
I don’t want to kill the flame bringing me to my every meal
But if I swing too soon
I may lose my light
Fall from the trail and into the night
